At D is for Doggy, we believe every pup deserves a place where city life meets open play, clean space, and a caring human touch. Our downtown location is built for dogs who thrive in social environments and for the people who love helping them do just that.
We're looking for a Dog Daycare Manager — someone who can run a tight, happy, safe floor and lead a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.
Run the Show: Oversee daily operations across daycare rooms — from check-in to close — making sure every pup, parent, and staff member has a great day.
Lead Your Team: Coach, schedule, train, and motivate our daycare counselors. You set the tone for professionalism, communication, and teamwork.
Keep Dogs Safe: Monitor playgroups, enforce temperament protocols, and ensure every dog's health and safety comes first.
Stay Organized: Manage records, behavior notes, and daily logs with precision. Accuracy matters — every entry counts.
Be the Calm in the Chaos: Handle incidents and emergencies with clear judgment and composure.
Talk to Humans Too: Build trust with pet parents — communicate clearly, follow up reliably, and represent our brand with empathy.
Maintain Standards: Keep our space spotless and our systems tight. Hygiene and order are non-negotiable.
You've led people before — in a daycare, kennel, grooming shop, vet clinic, or other animal care setting.
You care deeply about dogs and know how to read their behavior.
You're reliable, grounded, and can handle the intensity of a busy floor without losing focus.
You communicate well — calm with staff, confident with clients.
You solve problems quickly, without ego.
You're comfortable lifting, walking, cleaning, and staying active all day.
Competitive pay based on experience
Paid sick time
Free daycare for your own pup
Room to grow — future leadership or grooming opportunities
