The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a part-time (90%) Staff Nurse for the AirCare program to assess patients' nursing care needs, evaluate effectiveness of care provided, and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice. Additionally, the AirCare Staff Nurse will provide leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards.

Percent Time: 90%
Schedule: Rotating 24-hour and 12-hour shifts, plus every other weekend and holiday rotation requirement.
Location: AirCare 2 base (Waterloo)
Education Requirement:
An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.

Current license to practice nursing in Iowa required by date of hire.
Ability to obtain Illinois nursing license within six (6) months of hire.
CCRN, CFRN, or CEN certification required within two (2) years of hire.
NRP, PALS, ACLS, and BCLS certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
