Job Description

Valley Energy is looking for an Oil Burner Service Technician to join our award-winning team. Based out of our Purcellville, Virginia office, the selected candidate will receive hands-on training in the industry. This position is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to enter the heating service field. Depending on experience, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills required for the installation and service of oil-fired heating systems. Experienced HVAC Technicians are encouraged to apply and will follow a different onboarding training model to develop a more independent workload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair oil-fired heating systems and furnaces
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to ensure optimal furnace operation
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in heating systems
• Provide clear explanations of services to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and safety
• Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and hours worked
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and codes
• Provide emergency service as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or certification preferred
• Proven experience as an Oil Fired Furnace Technician or in a similar role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift over 55 lbs
• Strong understanding of heating systems, combustion analysis, and related equipment
• Ability to communicate well with customers and fellow co-workers
• A strong desire to learn and grow in the industry
• Fierce respect for safety and commitment to best practices
