Well-known medium sized law firm is looking for a Mass Tort Client Paralegal who will work mostly remote and is responsible for all aspects related to managing clients for the Complex & Mass Tort practice group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as main point of contact for clients including: Maintaining regular client contact Promptly responding to client inquiries Managing incoming and outgoing client correspondence Responsible for ordering, tracking and reviewing client medical records and information to document evidence required to prove case and following up as needed; Maintaining and calendaring client related deadlines including SOLs and client specific discovery related deadlines; Responsible for responding to discovery utilizing MDL Centrality and LMI Litigation Management, including: calendaring deadlines; preparing answers to interrogatories; completing and submitting Plaintiff Fact Sheets, Plaintiff Profile Forms, Census Forms; and curing related deficiencies. Working closely with the Client Service Specialist team to meet objectives of effectively and efficiently managing clients; Working closely with litigation team to ensure client files are complete and ready for filing, meeting discovery deadlines and trial; Performing legal research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER and various public-access websites; Utilizing Microsoft programs including Word and Excel to manage projects. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and regularly meet deadlines Ability to do legal research Ability to read and understand medical records Ability to work independently and as a team, with strong reasoning skills Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Westlaw, LexisNexis and PACER Experience using document management and case management systems.
