The Math/Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in middle school mathematics while supporting the mission and values of Holy Cross Academy. An aide would assist the Middle School Faculty and Staff in the aforementioned responsibilities. This position collaborates closely with colleagues, families, and administration to foster a positive, rigorous learning environment.
Teach middle school mathematics and/or science (grades 6–8, as assigned)
Plan and implement lessons aligned with diocesan standards
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
Integrate technology and hands-on learning strategies
Maintain a positive, faith-centered classroom culture
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Support and model Catholic values in all interactions
An aide would assist the Middle School Faculty and Staff in the aforementioned responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field (required for Teacher; preferred for Aide)
Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification (preferred)
Experience teaching middle school mathematics and/or science (preferred)
Practicing Catholic preferred; respect for and commitment to Catholic teachings required
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff
