About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer who can hit the ground running, take full ownership of product features, and thrive in a high-velocity startup environment. This role is hands-on and focused on shipping usable, intuitive experiences fast.

You should have deep expertise in Figma, strong visual and interaction design skills, and a collaborative mindset. If you're excited by the idea of influencing product direction and owning end-to-end design, this role is for you.

A portfolio link is required with your application.

What You’ll Do

  • Design thoughtful, end-to-end product experiences: from concept to polished UI and dev handoff.
  • Turn complex, multi-stakeholder workflows (patients, providers, insurers, pharmacies) into clear, usable product experiences.
  • Create natural, intuitive, and brand-aligned conversational AI experiences by designing dialogue flows, interaction patterns, and structures for chatbots, voice assistants, and other AI-driven interfaces.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and other designers to move quickly from idea to shipped feature.
  • Contribute to and extend our design system (components, tokens, libraries) for product consistency.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Conduct lightweight research and testing to keep the user voice in product decisions.
  • Translate research insights into actionable product improvements.
  • Quickly adapt to evolving priorities and keep moving forward with a positive attitude.
  • Manage multiple projects without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
  • Help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and design-driven culture.

What You Have

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products.
  • Proven ability to deliver features independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that shows depth beyond UI polish.
  • Expert-level skills in Figma and prototyping tools.
  • Experience in conversational AI.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems from scratch.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive UX.
  • Strong visual design skills (typography, layout, and hierarchy).
  • A naturally collaborative spirit, eager to partner with engineers and product managers.
  • Confidence and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Great time management and the ability to manage competing priorities with focus and flexibility.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Motion design or video editing (e.g. After Effects, Lottie).
  • Strong UX writing or content design skills.
  • Experience with Webflow.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.

Why Join eMed
