Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a Project/Design Manager to support the planning, design, and delivery of vertical projects in Davie, Florida . This role is ideal for a collaborative professional with 10+ years of experience in design and project management, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project execution.

As a Project/Design Manager, you will oversee design development, coordinate with construction teams, and manage client expectations to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence, maintaining schedules and budgets, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and coordinate all phases of project and design planning, execution, and closeout in alignment with Jacobs’ delivery processes
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements while maintaining client satisfaction
  • Provide leadership and guidance to design teams, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client objectives
  • Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate design and build phases effectively
  • Prepare project forecasts, progress reports, and risk assessments for internal and client review
  • Mentor and support junior staff to develop future leaders within the organization.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in design and project management for vertical projects
  • Strong understanding of design standards, regulatory compliance, and project delivery methods
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build and CMAR
  • Familiarity with vertical construction or community-focused buildings projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Previous experience with tribal or municipal projects and federally funded programs.

The base salary range for this position is $111,500.00 to $146,325.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
