About the Position:
Harris Health System is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician – Floating to support pharmacy operations across various Harris Health facilities. This role is responsible for preparing and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist while ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
As a floating technician, this position provides coverage across multiple locations, offering variety and the opportunity to work alongside different pharmacy teams while maintaining consistent quality and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under pharmacist supervision
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and pharmacy protocols
Maintain accuracy in medication labeling, packaging, and documentation
Provide excellent patient service and support interdisciplinary care teams
Adapt quickly to various pharmacy environments and team dynamics
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Licensure & Certifications:
Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
PTCB Certification preferred
Skills & Proficiencies:
Competence in computer use, mathematics, and medical terminology
Strong adaptability and flexibility to travel to different sites
Excellent communication skills
Work Schedule:
Includes weekends, holidays, flexible hours, and travel
