Due to continued growth in the San Francisco market, we are expanding our front-of-house team and seeking polished, reliable event servers and bartenders to support a wide range of high-quality events.
Position Summary
The Event Server & Bartender provides professional service for a variety of events including corporate functions, weddings, galas, fundraisers, conferences, and private events. This is a flexible, on-call position ideal for hospitality professionals who take pride in guest service, adapt well to fast-paced environments, and enjoy working a variety of event styles throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional event service including tray passing, table service, buffet assistance, and event breakdown
• Bartend events as assigned, including beer, wine, and basic cocktail service in accordance with California alcohol service laws
• Set up and break down bars, service stations, tables, linens, glassware, and equipment
• Follow event timelines and direction from onsite captains, leads, and client representatives
• Deliver a polished, friendly guest experience with strong attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the event
• Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing event needs
• Follow all company, venue, safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
Qualifications
• Minimum 6 months of event service, catering, restaurant, or bartending experience
• Bartending experience required for bartender assignments, including beer, wine, and basic cocktails
• Ability to carry cocktail trays and perform banquet-style service
• California RBS certification required for bartenders and preferred for servers assigned to alcohol service
• Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Reliable transportation to travel to event locations throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area
• Strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor event environments, including varying weather conditions
Work Environment
• Team-based event environment with direction from captains and clients
• High-energy events with fluctuating pace and guest volume
• Assignments distributed through mobile scheduling, flexibility is essential
Compensation
• Hourly pay rates starting at $21.00 per hour, depending on role, experience, and event
