**Job Title: Shipfitter** **PAY: 30 an hour and 142 in per diem for days worked** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Shipfitter with extensive experience in both commercial and naval settings to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ship fabrication, fitting, and welding techniques. **Responsibilities** + Perform ship fabrication and fitting tasks using blueprints and technical drawings. + Conduct tack welding and burning using Oxygen/Propane torches. + Utilize arc gouging and grinding techniques for shipbuilding processes. + Ensure precision in ship building and fitting tasks, maintaining high standards of quality. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of four years of experience as a first-class Shipfitter in commercial/naval environments. + Proficiency in single pass tack welding. + Skilled in the use of Oxygen/Propane Burning and Heating Torches. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in ship building and fabrication processes. **Why Work Here?** Benefit from a generous per diem allowance, fostering financial support during assignments.
