Job Description

We Are Archetype

At Archetype, you help clients think bigger, go further, and achieve more. With over 40 years of experience and 21 offices worldwide, you join a team of 650+ creative individuals turning ambitions into success.

Our people are the heart of our achievements. Whether you're starting out or a seasoned pro, if you take pride in your work and have bold ambitions, Archetype might be the place for you.

You are a creative thinker, problem solver, and storyteller. You thrive in a high-standard environment, where curiosity is encouraged, ambition celebrated, and kindness valued. As a self-motivated storyteller, you break new ground with strategic, creative campaigns. Your unique ideas and perspectives help us do our best work and make a difference in the world.

The Role

We’re looking for a Vice President to join our San Francisco team; a heavyweight in tech communications who’s seen the cycles, built the narratives, and shaped the perception of some of the biggest names in the industry. You thrive where strategy, speed, and storytelling intersect, bringing a rare mix of instinct, intelligence, relationships, and rigor.

The Vice President plays a key role in Archetype’s growth and success, overseeing client service standards, offerings, teams, and budgets. You’ll work alongside senior leadership to define goals, drive performance, and shape agency strategy and structure. You’ll lead top-tier accounts, guiding overall strategy, positioning, client and media relationships, and major launches or events.

You’ll also contribute to the agency’s broader success through leadership team participation, mentorship, and career development. The role includes involvement in new business efforts, internal marketing, events, and campaign development and measurement.

You’re not looking for just a role. You’re looking for a place where ambition is expected, impact is real, and you’re surrounded by people who are damn good at what they do. If you’re ready to shape the future of tech communications and build something you’re proud of every day, this is it.
