Purpose of Position

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Oversee/Arrange all domestic and international shipping operations.
• Arrange and schedule transportation including LTL, full truckload, dedicated carriers, small parcel, ocean, and air freight.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to secure competitive rates and reliable service.
• Plan and oversee container shipments including delivery scheduling, load planning, and coordination of container packing activities.
• Prepare and review all export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, customs requirements, and other trade compliance paperwork.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve delays or carrier issues, and communicate proactively with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, cost tracking, and carrier performance data.
• Drive continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, cost control, and process accuracy.

Minimum Education

Associate’s Degree in applicable field

Minimum Experience

Five years related experience and/or training; + two years experience with international shipping requirements and regulations. Previous supervisory experience a plus.

Strategic thinking - strong decision making skills

Strong communication skills

Accountable and results oriented

ERP experience - SyteLine or similar progream

Large scale manufacturing background

Export Control/ITAR regulations experience
